Technology from the 80's compared to 00's. We're just breaking your *****, like to line up with you one day that we can make a full boost pass. We'll see what happens the 15th. I'm sure we'll meet at one of the races one day.

technology is nothing, the good old pushrod old school setup is running faster then most of the new school overhead what um nu bobs and scuper dos. you know what i meen? lol
its not to uncommon to see a fast gn/t-type/TTA to say the least, but its like taking a fox body and carb setup and racing a mod motor, the tech is much greater, but some what unchartered.
let me know when your running full boost, i changed some stuff this winter, so once my car is tuned in a little, then i will make an atco or LVD run to meet up with you guys, just tring to save my first trip to the track for a 45 minit drive to NED rather then an 8 hour ride to atco.

Running a FAST system. Car went 10.4 @ 128 running 14 lbs of boost, the launch was at 24psi and held until the 1-2 shift. After that it held at a whopping 14 lbs. We are now using a custom c02 system to maintain boost on the backside of the wastegate so we are hoping to maintain the boost through all the gears this time. Did go a 1.39 60' @ 24psi. Wait for the 30 psi launches and 32-35 psi runs

1.39 60'

Thats alot of boost to make power...Most guys I know that run turbo cars only go to about 25lbs and these are SERIOUS setups---->7.50 to 8.50 cars....

My buddy Dale Cherry is gonna be at the rental tuning my buddies Fast, maybe u guys could pick his brain.Slowhawk knows of Dale and IMO he's probably the best tuner on the East Coast

That's cool JS. George is very well attuned to the FAST systems also. The car was making 720rwhp on the dyno through an unlocked verter.. Problem with A4 boosted cars on the dyno are you can't put the proper load on them. Yes we are shifting 2-3 to keep boost up but we were even having problems at that point with the boost lingering in the mid to high 20's. We upgraded the turbo to the new dual ball bearing cartridge and had it refreshed. Once we get it back next week we'll do our final dyno tune. Then its off to the first rental to dial the car in. Hopefully by May we'll have her dialed in and turning the times we want.

Yep there are a lot of turbo cars that run 25-30 ish and turn some awesome times. But remember we don't have the cubic inch compared to some of those cars. Still only 6 cylinders with a lot less room to pack in air than any normal 8 cylinder. 272ci, that is 2.64rwhp per ci. And this isn't the final tune.

The car is setup to go. We already know the car leaves dead straight, the suspension is setup. Now we just need to keep the boost up and not break anything.

Here are the mods --

1989 Turbo TA, 19k on the OD. Less than 2k on the motor.

lol... The car has 2 stock front seats (We may swap out the driver for a corbeau), radio, full console, heating system, rear bumper support, front mounted battery, stock t-tops, all stock door panels, all stock glass, all stock exterior fiberglass, stock trunk hatch, stock hood, full stock carpet.

I think we weighed it in once in the 3500+ range. With George or I as a driver the car would have to weigh 2550 lbs to be in the 2800 range

So Brad definitely has the weight advantage on us.
