Can an 03 Cobra IRS be put into a GT without mods?

 

Just a few changes need to be made such as the driveshaft and exhaust, but it is pretty much bolt in. I mean it's always easier said than done, but a buddy of mine with an 01 Cobra traded his IRS into another buddy's 03 GT with minimal hassle.

Did a search today to on modularfords.com and read the same thing. Speaking of IRS, time to think 12 bolt for the Goat Just kidding, but somehow I think you'll have enough power to warant one someday... :evilgrin:

You need lots of mods to do that... well they just need lots of mods in general like:
Nitrous, a blower, gears, exhaust, computer work, infact I'm pretty sure you have to pull that misreble 4.6 too. That is if you want it to keep up with a chevy when your done.

 

agreed. I think this guy is building a road race car - and an '03 needs a solid rear.
