Aw, it's your right to post what you want, I guess... I was just in the mood to stick up for my loyalty to the GM and Chevy nameplates last night. You've been around here awhile, also. Pretty stupid on my part to question anyone elses loyalties.... WJ
GM used to have great ad campains. They barely promoted the GTO, and their cars never really get a total facelift. My Camaro sports the same steering column for 20 years. The GTO has been out for several years overseas - I think their designers need to be fired to bring new ones in. They are going to have to spend some money to entice new buyers. The automotive industry has taken a big hit accross the board. Buick hasn't seen a new car in YEARS - if they decide to lose any brand, I hope it is Buick! I thought the G6 would do well. How many Grand Ams do you see on the road - even Sunfires... I'm just rambling, but agreeing that GM needs to make a few tweaks and changes before things get worse. I love my SS, but lets face it, it is not very refined for a 2002 which leaves me thinking about a GTO or even a 2005 GT
The G6 will never be a big seller. The car is average, thats it. Its a nice improvement over the Grand Am, but a well optioned G6 it close to $29k. It will become the rental car of choice, just like the Grand Am....Good luck convincing people to buy a G6 over a V6 Accord. Resale value alone would sway me to buy an Accord and its not like the G6 is an 'exciting' car. Both are bland.
The G6 does have come real competition from the Accord. There is no doubt. But it also boasts some features and configurations not offered in the Acoord.

Again the amount of options available in this car are awesome. The biggest prob with this the avg gas mileage, not awesome like the imports.

The LaCross is actually selling well. The model you looked at was the top of the line model. That has the better motor, and more options available. You CXL decently equipped with the 3.8 for about 26-29k. The base model of this car is in the low 20s. And the targeted demographic is 50 somethings, not 20 somethings. They wanted to freshen the traditional Buick without violating the loyal customers, which they have done very well.

I love my Malibu.
The C6 will sell well as long as the prices stay where they are.
This is a no brainer...

They already have a list at MSRP. We have more people waiting for them than we did Vettes. You can't beat the car for the money. They are hoping for the next Miata. My only concern is when the Saturn Sky comes out, its nicer looking.

Chevrolet Equinox is the same thing, and it is selling quite well. Havent you seen all the lease specials they run on TV about those?

I think they're both very cool, the Sky is even nicer looking though, true.

Buick? If I ran the show over at GM, I drop everything else and keep only Buick, just to reproduce GN's again. The exact same as 87.
Buick is sellling less cars right now, than Oldsmobile was selling when they got the axe. I wouldn't be suprised to see Buick get the axe in the near future if things don't turn around.

Plymouth, Oldsmobile, now maybe Buick, what's next, GM?! ....how many more American companies have to go under before people realize that they're potentially destroying their children's/grandchildren's futures by buying strictly ONLY import nameplates.
If GM or Ford go down (not likely, fortunately) it's basically ALL over, this is no joke.
