Not the best day of racing
First the track started running 2 hours late, then rained for a few minutes which shut them down for another half hour. Had one run in by 1 pm. Spun bad out of the hole on that run to a 2.3 60', and had a problem with 4th, not sure what, and coasted. Ended with a 13.3@~87. 2nd run I did only a short burnout on the Mickeys, and had a great launch. I mean, I felt my body get sucked into the seat. Had to have been a 1.7 at least (which is amazing for me) - didn't get my slip for other reasons. Well, went to grab 2nd, and got denied. And denied from every other gear. Coasted all the way to the turnoff. Only way I could get the car in gear was to rev match. Uh oh. Got to my pit, and yup, clutch wouldn't disengage.
Ended up having to start the car in first gear, and have the starter lurch the car to get moving. Actually made the 80 mile trip back home without the use of a clutch. Well, looks like I have a new project for my 4th of July vacation.
JleeWS6, it was nice meeting ya bud.

Sorry about your clutch.. I guess those M/T DR's are doing thier job!
I saw you the other day by Blue Hill.. that was me in the red Stang.
I'd go with a Spec 3.. mine took a beating and never gave up the ghost.
I could get another spec 3, but this one made it only 1.5 years and about 6k miles. It was good to me up til yesterday, very little chatter and never slipped. Though 2 years ago at the spring LVD rental it locked me out of gears at the line after finishing the burnout. Let it cool and it worked fine. Hoped it would do the same this time after a cool down, but no luck.
Cartek seems to be hit or miss if you do the install yourself, especially with their adjustable master.
MrB, where's blue hill? Ya sure it was me? My car hasn't been out of dutchess county in a few months. I did see a black NHRA T/A down in Putnam Valley a few weeks ago that I passed while in my Blazer. I was ready to call the cops thinking someone stole my car! I'd never seen another NHRA car on the road...
