East Side Performance Are The Best:
We will get to numbers in a minute. I have to say thanks to a few people first..
First off.. HUGE thanks to Scottywheelz. That guy HAS TO BE the most down to earth guy I have EVER met. He has worked with me tireless through my millions of variations of thoughts to get to them and have them either install something or dyno tune something else.. all in the end to just keep canceling on him. And when it came down to it.. he was FIRST CLASS each step of the way. Scott and I chatted for awhile and you know what? It was like I knew this guy for 20 years. I have a new found faith that there are actually people looking out for YOU and NOT just themselves. THANK YOU SCOTT.
Second thanks go Kenny.. This guy KNOWS his stuff. Really, he dived into my car and really worked some magic. And to boot.. he explained what was going on with the car EACH AND EVERY PULL. Now, I cant say this for someone else's tune.. and I wont mention names. Ken, I really appreciate you being soo sincere and took the time to really dial in the car and do your best. I really appreciate it. Thanks buddy.
I also would like to add.. I was running late getting to the shop.. they were really cool about that too. I know certain tuner shops have this attitude that "I AM GOD, THUS MAKING EVERYONE BOW TO ME". East Side Performance IS NOT like that. They acted as though I was a friend running late to hang out.. Kinda like "whatever dude.. you get here when you get here.. we look forward to seeing you" attitude.
This is my FIRST time there and I will tell you something RIGHT NOW.. They sold me. I am a customer for life with them. Really made me feel right at home.
Thanks guys!
Ok on to the problem(s) I ran into.
My TPS switch was disconnected when I arrived. I dont know how it got disconnected and I wont speculate neither. But Ken Spotted it almost immediately and that stopped some of the issue of my sputtering to the point of stalling. (I would like to just add this comment.. HAWKEYE IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS, HE NEVER TOUCHED THE THROTTLE BODY, SO DONT TRY BASHING HIM HERE FOR THIS!)
Unfortunately, the TPS switch was faulty and wouldnt allow a great WOT run.
Ken worked some magic here and really dug in to try to work around this. First run was REALLY dissapointing. 350 RWHP. Not a happy camper there. Ran 3-4 more pulls and got the car steady at 370RWHP and 356RWTQ. I was alittle bummed about this number since I (we) had hi expectations of this cam shaft (we not meaning ESP, just meaning various friends of mine AND Futral Motorsports I might add.)
After talking to Scott about my setup we came to a little conclusion..
1)- I had mac mid length headers with = ****
2)- I have cats which will hold back alittle there
3)- I have 4.10's
4)- 18 inch rear rims
5)- TPS Switch was faulty.
I am considering when money permits getting QTP Headers and QTP Catted Y Pipe. Scott thinks I can pick up to 30 more Rear Wheel Horsepower.. It might be alittle much.. but I like the idea lol.
Ken AND Scott both told me to fix the switch and come back and they will help me out. I really appreciated that.
This isnt their problem.. they could have easily said.. PAY UP BITCH and let me walk. But NOPE. Not them. Told me to get it fixed and come right back. They would help a brother out
On the way home.. I stopped off at a Chevy Dealer I know and got the switch.. a 3 second proceedure.
I will definately be going back to them soon to see if this TPS Switch caused a few ponies to be lost.
THANKS AGAIN TO EAST SIDE PERFORMANCE AND COMPANY.
Good job guys. You definately are Class Act.
~Steve~

Get back and I'm sure with teh switch working properly, they will be able to get some more out of it for sure. Then get that QTP setup.. you'll be at 400 or more I'm sure.
specs are...
230/232 112LSA 595/595
kinda a big cam with the low numbers..
We will see.. I will get the pulley soon.. and the cats are random tech high flow's so I cant see that jamming me up all that much.
Once the pulley goes on I will swing by there and see if we can squeek a few numbers out to make the perspective buyers happy.
thanks again.
