Default Tailgate fixable?

A genious left the tailgate down while towing a trailor and well...the top of the tailgate got pushed down in one area, its not horrible but its not great looking either. Are tailgates fixable or is it just time for a new one? This is on an 05 F150

just get a new one and paint it... might not be the least expensive way of doing it, but they will never know

Well its been like that for 2 months now but they just decided to say they want it fixed. A friend did it to a family members truck and it's just a hassle at this point. A new tailgate is 250+ship+paint so that comes out to be a pretty penny.

Took it to a shop today, guy looked at it for half a second and said it couldn't be fixed then tried to sell me a new one painted for $750 I'm gonna give another place a shot and see what they say, then it'll be junkie time.
