Unfortunately this is not a good winter for modding funds

Otherwise I'd be getting heads or N20.

I need backup funds for when the tranny pops too, epecially after heads.

Next year for me.

curious what the TR 224/224 114 lsa would pull on the dyno with regular manifolds. I'm guessing ~350hp/360tq. Cars nearly paid for (August '06 ) and I'm ready for something to waken my blood I'm not ready for headers yet (still need to find out if I'll pass visual inspection despite the plug-in only test) and am in no rush

If you plan on running stock manifolds we'll do a Cam more made for it.

given the best approach is to do both headers and cam this year .. but depends mainly on how **** inspectors are with the headers. If I find out that they walk with a stick up there (_!_) when they see headers then a cam made for it is best like you said. I'd like to get rid of my manifolds, besides they cost you upteen zillion drill bits already I want the best but also want no trouble come sticker time. still to early in the game I guess... it sux not knowing - wish I was more help givin ya an answer

You can prob get close to a 224 cam with headers and a cat'd y-pipe and get a sticker. Keep your cat back and get a cut-out. The cat's and catback will hurt you but you'll have your peace of mind.

Your thinking too much about it, if you want to drive into a shop and get a sticker without question Don knows the limit on what he can do, it's common sense. If you wanna be risky and take a chance and could have someone help you out just "in-case" Don knows what he can do. If stickers ever become a hassle, you can always ask around and toss someone a couple of bucks then you can run a 224 cam, no cats and keep your catback.

Just show up one day with the money and tell Don what you wanna do.
