Default Cuba Libre in A.C.

Tried out the Cuba Libre restaraunt in the Tropicana Casino last night. It was decent, but not great. I got some black bean soup and spanish ribs and the girls got steak. My buddy got ox tail which was good and the Cuban milkshakes were real good. Too pricy for me compared to other restaraunts down there, quality wise. I liked Red Square and PF Changs a lot better and they cost about the same. Still had a good time, especially since I stopped by the craps table and ended up handing the night's expenses right back to them. Anybody been to Carmines or the Palms at Tropicana yet?

AC resturants are usually mediocre. Cuba Libre in Philly is decent. I cant believe you didnt have a Mohito. Those are great there.

The Mohito? Isn't that the Cuban milkshake? Or is that something else? I could have sworn the ones we got were Mohitos, had milk, strawberries, ice, booze...Best drinks I ever had anywhere were in Treasure Island in Vegas. I can't remember the name of the restaraunt but it was kind of cheesy and had fountains that had different patterns and lights to them. Had a tropical theme to it. Ahhh, Vegas....

Best Cuban restaurant is my Grandmothers dinning room.

Other than that Azucar in Fort Lee isn't bad but you have to bring your own wine.
Victors in the city was decent but it's been years since I been there.

Also on 23 and 8th in the city they have this place that makes a great Cuban Sandwich and Steak with Onions.

Ok now I'm hungry!

I have been in all the Tropicana's new quarter restaurants/shops. Actually worked there for a long time during a couple of the phases of construction and its only 10 min away from my door. As stated the food is good but there is alot better for a cheaper price.

carmines is good. pf changs is also alright, i liked the place but wasn't crazy about the food. i like red square a lot, but i've only been there to drink, not eat. haven't been to cuba libre but ive been to most of the other places in the quarter.

I am eyeing up Carmine's or the Palms as the next target down there. In the meantime, now that they banned smoking I will go check out some good spots in Trenton that I haven't bothered with because I didn't want a free helping of poison with my meal.
