That's a ton of screws LOL! Worried about the tire moving are ya? I probably should drill/screw my bogarts this year, as I'm sure the tire was moving some on them last year, this year will most definately be worse. I'll have to look into doing that when I get aorund to putting some new rubber on them.

You really only need to put like 12 per tire, 6 per side right? That seems like what most people have. Did you have to put a tube in the tires after screwing them like that, or was silicone on the screws during installation enough? I assume teh tube is nessassary.. but what stops the screw from popping thru the tube? I've never actually done it myself before.....

im not sure they were screwed before i got them . they do have tubes though and the screws go threw the bead and the tube rides higher than the beed. the rim screws arnt all that long anyways . i think theres 8-10 per tire i didnt really count though ,

easy way to tell if your spining the tire on the rim is mark them before you run with a sharpie and see where the lines are at the end of the day .

I know they were moving.. the lettering on the tires wasn't lined up with the valvestems before.. but were centered about perfect after LOL. I think the tires made it about 1/3 the way around the rim in 4 passes, last time I took the car LOL. I definately need to screw them... probably another reason I haven't yet run a good 60 foot time IMO.

I'll most likly have the tires mounted and screwed by someone that know s what they are doing.. no need to screw up an expensive pair of bogarts, regardless what I paid for them. I just gotta find someone that car do it.

Steph might know.. does Jannetty do stuff like that?

definetly make sure you have enough so you dont end up tearing apart the bead or to much pressure on the screws

A common mistake of bad 60's and tire's spinning on the rims are running too less of tire pressure.You alway's want to run as much tire pressure as you can without an adverse affect on your 60' time.

Cool, I'll talk to Ted about it this spring. Dunno about the air pressure... I tried everythign between 12 and 16 psi, seemed best at about 14 to me, but I only made about 12 passes last year with the car, so who knows.

Just making a statement LOL. I'm sure the slicks will be the ticket.. if keith was already in the 11's with I assume a street tire/drag radial.. that car's definately leaving the line on 2 tires.
