Looks Sweet! I'll make sure Andy is standing beside Mike when he gets another hard-on once he sees the car up close!

Is that shirt strategically placed or is it just a rag for catching the fuel during the intake swap?

That does look pretty cool.... it's cool to see someone doing something different than everyone else.

The rag is to block the fuel while I cut the metal.

Something different? I like pulling my hair out and sit there staring at the car hours on end

So what was the main reason for switching intakes?

In the October 2005 issue of Popular Hotrodding thay Had a Turbo 402 with the Victor intake, they switched it out with the FAST intake and made more power.

I tried finding the article on line but couldn't find it.

Also don't you think its time to switch to a BIGstuff computer.

I do understand that, just wondering what is involved to hook the thing up and get it working, as far as the map and vacum stuff, one decent pic and I"ll know what's going on, just haven't had a chance to see one on a car in person. I'm already removing the PCV completely and going to a breather setup so I'll have one less thing to deal with when it comes time to put one of those on.. I'm not 100% that it's gonna be a huge gain over a fast setup on a 346, but I'm gonna find out.

I doubt a FAST will make more HP than a Carb setup on a Turbo 402.
The main drwback of the LS6/FAST is that the rear cylinders see more boost pressure than the front cylinders. The Carb intake will even out the airflow meaning we can run more boost without worrying about the rear cylinders running too lean.

The fuel lines are what you should be worrying about.Vacuum is easy.

Thats definately cool looking. Now I can see how high it is (very) and where we need the height on the hood. I'm not even sure the Magna hoods for the vette are high enough for it. Maybe the JD hood. It looks high from front to back, I think it's 3 inches. I've got an email going with dennis out there. Welcome to the land of vette frustration. I'll be over snow or no snow and we'll take some measurements.

Similar reason I am considering that setup.. but for nitrous, not boost

As for the fuel lines, if I'm gonna try to runa decent sized dry shot, which when I will when I start with the bottle, the whole fuel system will be gettign upgraded, so the fuel lines aren't really my worry, when the intake goes on I planned on goign bigger injectors, rails, probably a good pressure regulator and a good sized fuel pump. If I have to run new lines, so be it, probably better to go bigger on them while I'm at it anyway, I've never heard of anyone having too good a fuel system.. probably the safest thing I can do to get the stock bottom end to live as long as possible.

I just looked at Tbynes website. He's got a good selection of hoods and a good reputation. Maybe I'll make a run down there and take a look. It's going to really close.

Don't waste your $$ on a dry Nitrous kit.If you want to go fast run a wet setup with a controller.

Its what they found on the dyno. I have the article at home I'll re-read it again and find out why the FAST intake made more power. It made 1130hp .
