hi, i posted about a month ago about my problem with my new 2002 Z28 that i had just bought. to sum it up, has 25k miles, bought it from an ******* dealer that had given me a full 90 day warranty and 3rd day i owned the car the T56 is F@cked. 5th and 6th gear no longer exist, makes grind noise when i go to put them in and they just slip out, 1-3 make a whine/grinding noise and 4th is fine?? all happened on the highway doing when i was accelerating and went to shift from 4th to 5th....i shifted normal no hard shifting at all since ive owned the car and it just randomly popped out of 5th and from there on i had no 6th 5th and for some reason 1-3 now make a noise. also the noise continues when the car is in neutral and clutch out when i push the clutch in the noise goes away and like i said 4th gear is normal, no noise? anyways the ******* is trying to say i "seriously abused the car".ya right i babied that thing and shifted like a granny. he also tried telling ME that I must have done burnouts... so basically hes an ******* that doesnt wanna live up to the warranty and told me that there was $1200 in damage "the main input shaft and some seals". i tried saying that this type of car was probably abused to **** before me and that it all of a sudden broke when i owned it. he said " no it was fine while i drove it". hes assuming i dont know **** bout these cars saying that hes never seen this happen to a camaro transmission bla bla. now to the point of this post, i need a person who is a transmission specialist preferably someone who knows these cars and or transmissions who can fix all the damage and write up some sort of statement about how these tranmissions dont just break like that and if possibly he could tell if there was damage already there for a while just waiting to break before i even bought the car. i need this so its guaranteed i get my money back when i bring this ******* to small claims court...which is all i can do now. ive tried everything, most people are some sort of mediator or deal only with the lemon law which states that the car must have been repaired 3 times and still have problems in order for it to be a lemon and i cant even get it fixed once cause the dick is blaming me for the damages and wont cover it under his full warranty. is there anyone that can help or knows someone that can? oh ya i even had a lawyer who is a friend of my mother write up a demand letter for repairs and the dealer rejected that....all i can do is small claims court now.

take a look at that site, basically he is obligated by law to fix it or take the car back.. take his *** to court per the lemon law.

 

There is a place in framingham. Called bonded transmission on beaver st(508) 872-1119 . I dont know if they are a T56 specialist or not.

Or you can always try aamco in framingham. Atleast you can get idea how much the repair will be.

 

the thing with the lemon law is its been over 30 days now... i mean i have been going through all this **** since i brought it back for the dealer to look at but i dont have any real written records, the dick didnt give me a written invoise on the damages or anything. all i pretty much got is the letter from my lawyer that was sent within the 30 day period..
