Wanted: Mentor I want to find somebody local (w/in 75 miles of Frederick) who has experience with the ls1 motor. I do not want to pay outragous prices to install parts in the future...was wondering if anyone was willing to maybe help me or help me help them so i know what to do. pm me if possible 02 ws6 m6 9,XXX miles. thanks
just a suggestion 
the trick to saving money on labor is getting everything done at once. (They can't charge you that much to put on a manifold if they have to get to the cam anyway). plus+ if you are looking to put on a lot of parts, you should find an ls1 specialty shop that will dynotune and know what parts work well each other

Stop by some shops.. like dyno days etc..

That's the directions I used for my head swap, read them about 100 times before oding the job, praticially had them memorized by the time I got around to doing the job... and it was a huge help. Took a day to tear the car down, and a day to put it back together with some help, probably would have taken about 3 days alone.. but I'm glad I did it myself, learned alot.
