Any good shops in NJ? I have an lt1..and i know of a bunch of shops that do ls1's..but dont want to do lt1's..and its pissing me off! I need to get heads removed/and resintalled as I am going to be getting them ported. The shop i used to use quoted me 1500 bucks for that..which i found to be extensive.
no place i know ports them around here..so i was going to send them to a widely known place to be ported.

Yes we do work on LT1's. For a heads/cam swap it is $1500.
The problem that you will run into and the warning I give any of my customers with LT1s is that a lot of things can break due to the age of the car that are not under our control (i.e. exhaust studs, etc).
