NED Opening day results
Got up at 6 to a somewhat overcast morning, went to Manchester NH to pick up a friend, & it then poured the whole trip on 101.
Got to NED to light sprinkles & they said they had plans to open.
Paid the ca$h, teched in, skies became clear & at 11:18 I got my 1st of 10 runs, probably could have gotten 16 or more total but I took a break to spectate.
Dieso & his brother showed up around 10:30 & left about noon or so.
I opted for one last run & decided to call it a day.
Soon as the ET streets came off, about 3PM, the skies opened up.
Good call on my part to call it a day & change the tires over at that time.
There was a little over 2 dozen cars, 1/2 dozen bikes & 4 junior dragsters.
The left burnout lane was pretty chewed up by 2 PM & "old slippery" still holds true.
At Cecil in Nov.. I brought the car to a PB of 12.950 @ 108.65 with a 1.999 ST.
My best ST yesterday was 1.930 but could only muster a 13.227 @ 105.84.
That was my best ET & ST, my best MPH was 107.11 with the MPH averaging 105-106.
I had 3 "issues" yesterday,
Ever since I installed the Pro 5 shifter I have had difficulty getting the shifter into 2 when racing, as was the case twice yesterday.
I think I'm going to get a B&M ripper this year & try that.
At times my line lock didn't hold the car stationary.
The Spec 3+ "welded" itself to the flywheel & PP, but after watching Don last year break free 2, I was able to do the same while still in the staging lane & continue to race.
All in all not a bad day.
Now let the mods commence in 2 weeks & in a month I'll go back to see how much better I can do.
There was a little over 2 dozen cars, 1/2 dozen bikes & 4 junior dragsters.
I'm heading up Wed night for some spectating.
I didn't go up there once last season. LVD was closer when I was away at school. I'm anctious to head up there this year and check out the improvements they supposedly made.

BTW Don, a wheel stud broke while removing the lug on the passenger rear.
Please add it to the list for repair when I bring the car down.
