I also got pulled over on the way home from the NED Track Rental !! We were all at the intersection down the road, and a cop going the other way, turns around and pulls up behind me. Right past the intersection was a car down in a ditch, with a couple of people standing around it. So I thought, no big deal, he's going to help those people out. But nooo I hear on the Bull Horn "You in the Blue Vette, pull over to the side once you pass the intersection." He then pulls up beside me and says "I want to check out your car."

Now the people across the intersection see the cop and start jumping around trying to flag him down. So I'm thinking, this is going to be a long wait. But as I make the turn he comes up behind me. My wife is like "I think he likes your car." So he walks up and says "Pop the hood. I heard the blower when I was driving by, and I had to check it out." He went on to tell me that he has a car just like mine, and had a couple of questions.

So about 5 minutes go by, and a guy walks up to the cop and says "Umm Officer, there's an accident around the corner and there's a car in a ditch." The cop: "Is anyone hurt?"
The Guy: "I don't know, but there are a couple of people standing around looking for help."
The cop: "Thanks, I'll be there in a second. Nice rollcage, did you buy it that color?"
Me: Ahh.. No the guy that had it before me, had his brother paint it.

The guy walks away. And we go on more about the car. I had one of SLOWHAWK's cards on me and I hand it to him. And about 5 minutes later while we're still talking a kid rides up on a bike.

Kid: Officer, did you know there's an accident around the corner a guy's car is in a ditch
Cop: Yeah, I know. I'm just finishing up here. I'll be there in a bit. You're making some nice power, if my guy can't work out all the bugs, I'll give your friend a call.
Me: You should have stopped the guy in the red vette!! (BrentC5) he has a D1 and makes over 650rwhp.

I think he actually thought about it for a second too!

But he let me go and went to the accident, after telling me to drive carefull. Of course when I met up with everyone else waaaay down the road, I got the usual Black Guy, White Girl, Nice car jokes!

 

Funny story..I'm glad he wanted to check it out in a "good" way though! Crazy about the accident around the corner though.

 

That wa s the funniest thing I've heard in a long time. Tod called me because he hung back waiting for you. I told him to take off because after dinner we were going to have to bail you out anyway. Whats wrong with that, we were hungry. Haha. When he turned the corner I said oh shi i forgot to put my plate cover on and I saw him do a quick Uturn. I thought i was dead. I kept looking back and didnt see him but I could see you werent in line anymore. I think the only reason he didnt stop me is because Don was doing his usual 80 and he fig he couldnt catch me and I didnt have a good looking woman in the car.

 

thats definetly one of the funniest stories in a while man . when we saw him pull into the road and turn around we knew someone is in for it and he singled you out way to go ya convict

 

That has happened to me more than once in NH too! Too funny.

 

oh my god thats awesome. I am glad the officer was concerned about the accident though . Was he a statey?

 

I don't know for sure. But he did comment about all the crazy drivers that are around the town, during the track days. So he might have been local.
