If alot of codes have been changed, your car could be running in limp mode right now and you don't even know it.

Actually now that you said that it reminds me he did say something about after getting my car inspected he told me to come back and he will get my car to run in closed or open loop or something all the time I didnt really know what that ment I thought that was just for dyno use.

Your in mass, shoulda had Don do the tuning and install, my car runs amazing and the tune is dead on and it passes inspection easily. Plus he was by far the least expensive.

Oh by the way I took my car out yesterday and it took about 5 minutes for it to stop idling high and low, high and low then it stayed consistant at 900rpms +/- took it out and it seems sluggish, I wonder if I know broke something, or if because this is such a new thing to my computer if its still learning how to stay alive.

sounds like the tune is off, its no big deal. Was it tuned on the dyno only? The car should have been street tuned and logged first for drivability. Then the dyno for output numbers.

Then get it back to them ASAP. You really don't need a special tune to pass emissions though.

ID go back and get the correect tune back in it then if that doesnt clear it up you know you have more of an issue or not. if it is off who knows what else your taking chances at hurting or breaking . defiently shouldnt need a "special" tune to pass either though

Yea honestly there were some local guys willing to install my mods and do my tune but after hearing about Dons work at Dez Racing I decided to go with him and again couldnt be happier. Im sure the guy doing the install and tuning is good, probably just slipped up on something but yea like the other guys said get it back there because it shouldnt idle that low and then jump up to 900 rpms. Good luck with the car though and elt us know when you get it up and running perfectly!

Why is it so hard to go back to them? If they wanted the car back after the tests then I would bring it back ASAP -not go to the track

You allways get up this early?? lol, Well a bunch of friends were goin and they forced me into it kinda, it was fun nothing broke thankfuly it was a good day, I called couple times to get back ther but no answer maybe they were dynoing those times who knows. All kevin said was if I wanted he would change my car to not have to computer constantly running tests and run open loop or something. But it stinks everytime he makes an adjustment I have to flip the dough to nedyno. And beside everytime I go down there i either get pulled over for god knows what or my t-top flies off who knows whats next, my hood blow off smash my windshield lol.

Hey man dyno costs are going to be cheaper than buying a new engine. I helped one of my best friends put in his H/C package and he was supposed to go to East Side for a tune but he got lazy and kept driving the car around till he leaned out and the engine was toast. His 00 SS is now a lawn ornament so Id just be careful with the car until its good to go. As for the oil I use amsoil 0-w40 and it works great. Its the SAE stuff on their website, not the XL.

Don's the man
My car ran like a turd when in limp mode. Idled wacky, bucked all the time, one trip to Don's and the car drives like a dream around town (track times coming)... even with a 240+ish cam

Mark, I didn't ask for the car back. I asked for the car PRIOR to going to emissions, not after.

The car ran and drove well when it left the shop (remember I had you drive it as well).

There is something else going on.

No it wasnt that you asked for the car back I know that, it was that you said after emission if I wanted to you could make it run open loop or whatever you said, thats all I was trying to say. Yeah the car runs good and after driving it for a while, the throttle starts sticking and the idle starts jumping around. Im goin to agree with you on that and saying something else is goin on, the way im explaining everything im prob making a mountain out of a mole hill. Something simple like dirty tps or something.
