Good I am glad he does not coach them any more. How can you coach the Cowboys after what he did in NY? What a fiasco it is down there in Dallas I feel sorry for who ever takes that job.

At least he is the kind of guy who says if he cant do it with in 2-4 years (at least a playoff win), to step aside.

Maybe J. Jones will hire Deon Sanders as head coach----Neon's been spouting off on the NFL network that he has what it takes to be a NFL coach....ha. WTF, then the 'Boys would have 2 complete ******** on the team--T.O. and Neon Deon....Parcells will be in NFL hall of fame 1st time he goes on the ballot--guaranteed. I'm afraid the Dallas fans have yrs. to wait before another championship playoff run occurs...C'mon Jerry, hire Deon!!

I agree chef, but maybe Bill couldn't take all the bullshit (T.O.) any longer. That crap really can age a person, no? WJ

T.O. = the disease in dallas.

change coaches, QB's, staff, whatever, that ******* will still manage to drop important passes and cry the blues about not being in the spotlight 24/7.

Up to the owner to realize that, and get rid of his sorry ***, just as the previous teams he played for did, no??

Imagine having a career like that and it ends with that Tony Romo fieldgoal botch-job. Couldn't be happier that the Cowboys and, more importantly, TO have that much less of a chance of winning.

i think parcells did a mediocre job in dallas. what was it one division title and no playoff wins in four seasons. he knew they werent going to win a SB and decided to step down.

i think when gets bored and hes feeling better he'll be coaching again. its something he likes to do even at his age.

Well....Parcells brought the Giants, Pats, and Jets back from the dead, but, the Cowboys? Even if God were coaching them, he'd have his hands full getting Dallas to the Superbowl w/their current ownership/management/players.....too much "me" and not enough "team". Parcells will surely end up in football's hall of fame. WJ

I think John Gruden (Bucs current coach) could get the Cowboys back to their glory days....but don't know if Jones could get him away from Tampa...WJ

Considering he led the Giants to 2 Super Bowls, and brought them to the playoffs in back to back seasons. Completely turned around the Jets and laid the foundation for the Patriots dynasty, I think its silly to say hes not a good coach at all.

Also, you know how people say "Mangini is a decendent of the great Belichek" or "coach X is a decentent of Belichek", well the great Belichek is a decendent of Parcells. He has had a direct role in producing some of the best teams of this era and you dont think hes a good coach? Yes he was not too successful in Dallas, but he did finish with an above 500 record there.

'01 bird: I agree 100%. Lots of the NFL coaches couldn't carry Bill Parcells' gym bag. And yes, he did show Bill Belichick the ropes, and got the very most out of his players -- except for T.O. (ME-O) He thinks that there's a different set of rules for him. Shame on the Cowboys owners for handling things the way they have....
