Big dilema
tough situation. im entering the time when in considering wanting a house instead of a car that i sink all of my $ into. it is all about how much you really want to keep the car (and the hobby all together). if you really want to keep it then work something out with your parents or whatever you have to do. if you are 1/2 and 1/2 about it i say just sell it and get something else down the road.
Im in the same kind of situation- I have two jobs. I work 50 hours a week and go to school full time. I have a girlfriend who I still have to pay attention to, lol.
It's tough- but I have the camaro and my beater- 88 Saab 900 turbo. Fun car, cheap on gas and is quite reliable. If I get in a bind- my dad has three cars and can only drive one.
Get a second job- waitering, bussing, just something that pays cash- stick that money towards your insurance. Thats what I do- my other job pays the bills/buys me my food/gf stuff/etc.
