Default 03 Evo.. whats is worth?

I know what KBB and Galves are telling me.. but I just wanted some input from actual people for the value on my (possibly) new car.
2003 EVO RS
80K on body
White!!
CF hood+trunk+Splitter
new engine (3K)
new clutch (3K)
Basic mods. filter, turbo back 3inch exhaust, Cams, tune. dunno dyno numbers

The things thats killing me is its a RS. no power windows, no power locks, no keyless entry. NO RADIO!
KBB puts it around $15K
Galves (wholesale) says around 11K

What would you pay for it?

It depends on what you want to do with it. if you want it for strictly racing than an RS is the model you want obviously because of the weight. From what i understand the trannys are supposed to be a little stronger also. mileage is a tad high, and what was the reason for the motor being replaced? Either heavily beat on or not taken care of much. with cams and a tune it should be a low 12 car. Id probally say $10-$11k.

thats pretty much where I ended up with the numbers. around 11-13. anything higher is luck. Im sure the engine was replaced becuase of abuse. It has a ton of warrenty issues. (love working for a mitsubishi dealership lol) I know the RS is a base model and its pretty pricy for the average person for a crank windows, ect car.. I'll let you guys know what happens tomorrow.

10k for that car is a bit ridiculous... id say 12-14k.... i have an 05 with the SSL package and see them still going for 25-28k with low miles... i understand its a RS with high miles but its still an evo and they have been holdin there value

even though it isn't really worth much more than 10k$, you'll NEVER get it for that and if it were my car i wouldn't sell it for that- unless it was beat or didn't run right.

if it looks clean, clean title, never hit etc... and runs/shifts/drives satisfactory then i'd say offer 11k$ for it, maybe get a steal. plan to pay up to 13.5-14k for something like that however, since it is modded and even though people say the opposite, people WILL pay more for that. like somebody also said it is an evo, which makes it a desireable car to a lot of kids. if the owner marketed that car right he/she could probably get a lot more than 14k$ for it.

also request some sort of documentation on the "new engine, clutch" etc... who knows if he got it from his buddy's evo that had 100k on it and 2000 nitrous passes on the motor. just saying- you never know...

I would be weary if a boosted car with that many miles. Who knows how many beatings etc

edit didn't read the new motor although tranny and other parts have abuse all over it and if the dude is selling it it already had alot more beatings.

EDIT! Its not a RS. it is a Evo8 with Sun+sound package, HIDS, has a spoiler (stock) has power locks. keyless entry, and power windows and thank god a radio.

Im trying to figure out some prices because Im buying this car. Its not finished yet. It currently has a blown motor and needs a door and frender painted. The motor will be replaced with a stockish long block. A few more mods will be done. I wanted to make sure I wasnt gonna hurt myself after I invest 4-5 grand into this car. But Im buying it cheap... really really cheap. I'll post pics later today when its in my garage.

i'd definitely look into why the engine got replaced so early, and if its still warrantied, and the car looks to be in good condition id say high teen's (16-19k) if its an evo 8, or 10-11k if its an rs.

yes your correct. the 03 trannys were not as strong as the later years. but it was the first year for the car and you know how that goes...

That's what I thought, because my buddy has an 03 EVO 8, and the tranny sucked, he upgraded to an 05 EVO 9
