Hey, dont get me wrong kyle, thats why i did my gears this past weekend with chauncey and ben. Im all about saving money, but not everybody is like that. Some just dont have the desire to wrench and would be just as happy having it done at a shop.

Nasty, if you have the experience maybe you can help? I don't think I can take on a project like that and would rather give it to a reliable shop to do the work. I imagine it will cost. I read some of the horror posts during header installs where guys are struggling for days because of k-member / steering shaft clearance or the damn Y pipe is not cooperating. Some of them may be idiots but it is an undertaking that I am not willing to go alone.

Don't get me wrong, I am all over saving a buck and I would like to think that I have some limited mechanical skills.

The FTRA that I installed a few weeks ago gave me fits because it didn't quite line up and I thought I was going to freakout. Well it was slightly tweaked after some help from this site and it is good to go. I could only imagine what a few setbacks during a header install would do to me.

I guess if I have been through a header install then I might be able to pull it off. I don't like surprises.

The secret is getting the car up high enough to get the headers at the right angle to go up and forward. A floor jack with a lot of lift and tall jackstands. Disconnect the battery so you don't have a pretty light show if the header and the hot battery lead to the starter meet.

Its not bass pro shops worthy yet. I need to clean it up and fix a few things on it. If we're not racing this weekend, I may drive my dirty black truck again. Going on 3 weeks and still havent had a chance to clean it up like I need to.

Yeah man, I'm just going out to make a few passes and do some nitrous tuning. the track was closed last time out due to rain, as it has been for the pas few times out.... I know you arent too fond of the track because of the shutdown area and all, but I dont run any kind of speed to worry about that so its all good... traction wont be the absolute best but thats not the top concern for what I'm trying to do out there...

So far so good, if I could only buy some traction additive to put in the car maybe it would be more fun to drive Once it see boost it's like a Ptown crackho, all over the place wanting more.
