seriously Gary it would take something like your car at a min to handle it.

My car will probably never be at that level at the rate it's going... hell I seriously question if the power it's making now will be able to be utilized 100% this year.

Like I said my plans for now are just to use this motor to play around with, get the suspension dialed in and have some fun. In the early winter I will be building up something nice. I am leaning towards the tall deck lsx version going around 511ci sounds like fun on a ETP canted valve solid roller. I see a few guys that have gone deep 9's and then cammn beast hit the 8.95. I hear there will be a few stout N/A combos this year in the 8's. I unfortunately don't have the time to complete a big project like that right now. As is we are using the weekend to build the motor and do the transplant. I have too many cars here that we need to work on during normal business hours so I cannot take that time away from our customers to build the race car.

With all of this talk about ETP cylinder heads, would it be much of an upgrade to go from AFR heads to ETP Heads?? Either AFR 205s (like I have) to ETP 215s or AFR 225 to the 245 ETPs?

What is better about the ETP heads besides the 11 degree valve angle?

Go with whatever will spin higher

It's good to see the L92 block being used.Nice light block that can easilly handle your setup.Everybody seams to jump on the LSX blocks when they don't need them and add that extra weight to the nose.

I'm guessing a nice girdle is being used?

for what its worth, im a huge huge fan of the alum block. the only reason i went with the lsx is because if i hit the wall with a burnt pistion, i can punch it out over and over again. this block will last a while.
also, im not sure if you have done much looking on the lsx yet, but they have alot of good point including better oiling, 6 head studs (once a good head comes out), beter over all design with the block, it has alot of the ls7 mods to it ect. just the block updates are probably worth a good 10-15 hp and should help longevity.

again, im a huge fan of the light weight alum, but i felt it was a wiser choice for lsx. its probably going to be a long time block for me. unless they get the alum one done up, then i will swap

sorry for the just making a note.

What do you know? Plans have changed!!! I am going with the 416ci selection. I plan on spinning this thing high, so I'd rather have the stability of the 4.000" crank. Motor is being pulled out tonight will update with pics soon. I have all parts ordered, block should be here friday, I have the bearings in stock. The rods I have already. The crank and pistons are coming direct from Callies I hope to have the crank soon, the pistons might be a bit of a problem due to the bore size.

Get R Done

On a side nore it looks like GM might be giving us a LSX block.Kinda sucks because if I have it we will have to build it and move my car plans forward

Probly a 440-450ci built to rev to 8000rpm
