Actually I was really happy with the gas mileage that I got, the little 4.7 was working going up a couple hills, but was ale to hold a steady 55 mph so it wasn't too bad. I just turn the overdrive off the whole trip, and averagign about 65 mph, it got 13.4 mpg..... really not that bad I thought. Best I have ever got on a highway trip was about 17 and that was with no load at all.... so I was happy with that.
There probably is a way around some of the tolls... but I went the way I know to get that way, down I 95. I mapquested it, and that was how it sent me as well, so I wasn't gonna try to reinvent the map

I still don't understand why anyone would buy an 8.1 (454-ls-based) to haul with. Why not just get a diesel. Not like its unavailable in the NE.
I've just started going to the track recently (LVD). A few regulars have told me it isn't as busy as it has been in the past. I went last Wednesday on a nice cool, dry night thinking it would be packed but I still got six runs in. I certainly hope things aren't going south in the world of drag racing, having just gotten started myself.
Looks like gas prices have at least stabilized. It was pissing me off when it was higher EVERY TIME I looked at the prices for a few weeks.
