since we're talking trannys, 4th is grinding in mine as well as third at high rpm...who rebuilds them around here???

i also 2nd noyzee....white is right!!!

I do know someone locally that does know how, he was a GM tech , I know that he can do it if he has the tools which I think he does, maybe some of them were the dealership's tools I dunno. He did his own tranny and it came out good. He's graduating the police academy this week, so I don't know if he would even have the time to do it. I'll ask though, see what he says.

yeah, I thought I remember him saying there was a tool he did not have but could get to one if needed.... and I'm sure he would probably do it on the slide

Ill have a press by the end of the week. I also now have all the tools to rebuild them. Maybe Ill rebuild mine and start doing them for local guys. How does that sound everybody?

Hell, by the end of summer I will have a lift too. Then Ill need a full size tranny jack and to move my welder to the location of where the lift will be. Ill be able to do anything when it comes to working on cars, woot. Just wish my job wasn't so important.

I might have my hands on a GTO tranny with 28,000 miles on it...Guy wants to trade me for my bike,he'll give me 04 GTO motor and tranny and some cash, i planned on selling the tranny and buying a hughes TH-400 with overdrive.

What would you pay for the tranny???
