This will be an intresting build up. With as much of the body being carbon fiber and alum as it is, where will you attach the rollbar to the chassis? Have to weld some steel plates to the alum?

However it's done, the end result will be

yes, the roll cage may be bolted to the frame(floor in unibody cars), the rest of the installation is welded. the bolted down portion must use four bolts, there is a minimum size and all hardware must be grade8 or better.

Well im waiting on parts. Stuff is slowly comming in. And ordered a bunch of stuff this week.

My new cam and lifters are here
my gaskets are here
I ordered my sheetmetal intake
I ordered my rotating assembly
I ordered my roll cage kit
I ordered a new spool gun for my welder
I ordered my bell housing blanket
I ordered a katech tensioner
I ordered a ati damper
My arp head bolts are here but waiting on the main studs
ordered a bunch of aluminum plate and angle
and a bunch of grade 8 hardware
ordered a set of SFI 25.5 chassie specfications

Mostlikely going to order my hood next week so i can get John Beck some mesurments on how high he can make the intake.

I need to order a bunch more stuff but it's not nessesary that its here right now till have have the main stuff done shortblock built and cage installed.

George, how much power do you think the present driveline will hold? Do you have any plans to back-half the car to do away with the normal failures in the stock Zo6 driveline? If you back-half the thing, you might just as well snap one of the new GMPP 600+ c.i.d. motors in there, plus a Pro-stock style transmission to put you right into the top of the heap of the Top Sportsman class.... WJ

bowerboy is going 8.50 with his setup with a irs. I allready have c5 axles in my car thats one of the main week links in the drivetrain i will see how far I can push the stock drivetrain remember the c6 z06 has a bigger ring gear then a regular c5 and c6.

I plan on keeping the Irs

and keeping it a lsx motor

If that car is going to go fast enough to warrent a 25pt, you soon enough will have a glide and a solid axle.

I'd have a hard time cutting up that car, but hey it's only money right
