IHRA National event..... Anyone heading to NED tomorrow or Sunday for the show? Will be the heaviest hitters of the IHRA world there....also some of the best locals trying to make the show....hopefuly the weather will break for tomorrow. Qualifying already was screwed today from the damn rain...

A great weekend show....some new IHRA records were set up there.. Lots of competetion from down south and a bunch of great cars down from Canada. Many top name NHRA competitors there also. Only saw 1 LS1 car compete.....a 2000 blk M6 Z28 running in Modified eliminator/no electronics. Over 90 cars in that one class. Car said "Sylvania" on the side. Won in first round w/a 12.60 on a 12.60 dial. In 2nd round, he dialed 12.66 and broke out running another 12.60. He would've won his 2nd round race also, but probably dialed up cause of heat...the guy could shift the car. Anyone here know this car? First time I'd ever seen it at either NED, or LVD...there were a bunch of 4th gen F-bods, but all LT1 powered. Pits/show area/return road field---all jammed w/race cars and haulers. Most I've ever seen, especially Saturday. Stands slammed full on Sat., but a few seats on Sun.
