Default Hail Storm

Well friday here in North Eastern PA we had a pretty nasty hail storm. The hail was at times the size of golf *****.

Unfortunately I got caught in it with the goat I tried to get somewhere where there was cover, but all I could find was the end of a fuel island. That seemed to be ok but then the winds shifted and I was getting a few hits. The storm ended (Or so I thought) I left the gas station and started heading toward my garage, well along came another round of hail and there was nowhere to go hide this time.

When I got to the garage I gave the car a quick wash to get the road dirt off. I dried the car off and was not happy with what I found. A friend and I counted the dents up and on the roof, trunk, fenders and quarters we found about 70-80 dents. Even the rubber strips across the roof and the rubber at the bottom of the rear window got messed up pretty good. The only thing aside from the windows that didnt get damaged was the CF Banshee hood. I was expecting the grilles to be busted out of the hood, but they are ok.

I already called my insurance and its covered, but now I have to go through the aggravation of running all over the place to get the car fixed up.

End of rant, thanks for listening.

Bummer, man. Maybe it can be fixed by paintless repair.

The same thing happened to me last year but the was no damage.

I hope for a speedy recovery of your goat... The storm was very strange, I work in Easton and live in Bethlehem and there was no hail at work but I was told it hit Bethlehem.

Sorry for your bad luck, but at least the insurance will cover it. You might as well order the '05-'06 rear bumper (if you don't already have it), the '06 tails, and go for a triple-impulse blue paint job. Good luck. That goat should look better than new afterwards.

I had a car get hit once real bad... it looked like 100 kida ran by the car and hit it with a ball pean hammer as they were running by.... it sucks.

Good luck with the repairs, don't let them add 200 lbs of bondo, like I've heard they will do

It will be fine, **** happens, the whole car may need to be painted if nearly all the car was hit. GL

Yep already have the SAP bumper, and the 06 tails, lol. The tails werent cracked from what I could tell.

And JL ws-6 I am going to push the body shop not to use any bondo, some of the dents are small enough that filler primer and board sanding will probably take care of them, its the deeper ones that I am worried they may not get to massage out with paintless dent repair. Either way I think the whole car will be getting repainted, and if not Ill throw the extra cash at it and get it done completely anyway. The factory paint on these cars sucks, Im surprised that it didnt get chipped anywhere from this storm.
