Default I got boost!

At work, that is...

It's also got a hoop, so it will pass chassis cert at the track...

4.8 liter intercooled turbo diesel inline 4
175 hp at 2,700 rpm
347 lb/ft at 2,000 rpm

This thing is a dog on the highway. It can barely maintain 65 mph going up hills. Anyone know how to turn up the boost?

I'm sure there's a way to trick the wastegate to stay closed longer, the turbo dodge guys use some ball valve available from grainger to trick the computer into not seeing boost/seeing as much boost, they put it in a vacum line that goes to the senssor the computer sees......

Not sure if that would work on that or not, might blow it up though LOL

Yeah, that would be a tough one to explain...
I plugged the numbers into the quarter mile calculator and it came up with 21.7
Maybe a good tune and it would run high 19's

Is that a 4BD2? Just pull the rubber hose off the waste gate if you want more boost. It might blow up, but it will make lots of boost. I'm assuming you're a delivery driver. Just leave it alone. Tampering with comany owned vehicles is a good way to get a permanent unpaid vacation.

The manual says it's a 4HE1-TC. And no, I'm not really going to mess with the waste gate. I just thought it was interesting.

Use a manual boost controller T'd into that wastegate line. Doesnt look like anything is controlled electronically, so a MBC will allow you turn the boost up in increments.
