Good LS1 Tuner in Jersey?
Looking for a good shop to put a (dyno)tune on my car. I did some searching just seeing if any of you guys have had great luck with a certain shop.
And since it's kind of on topic. What tuner do you guys recommend; LS1Edit, HP, etc? I've been dong a lot of researching on them too, just seeing what you Eastern guys are using.
Thanks!
Marc

DO NOT GO TO TUNE TIME in Toms River!
I went there and they were completely clueless. They should stick to Trailblazer bolt-ons, that's about as technical as they get. Aside from my dyno woes I had them install a rear sway bar. After they monkeyed around with it for 20 mins I had to go in the shop and advise they were trying to install it upside down.....
I went to ECS too, not a good experience (codes kept coming back/poor idle etc)
In the end I went to SLP because they were local, extremely professional and found 40hp under the curve!!! (4k-6.2k) compared to the above bozos. After I get my FAST intake ported I may go up to TTP, they have a really good reputation.

I believe Matt does lock his tunes though. At least I know he locks his TBSS tune.
I have NEVER and will NEVER lock anyone's tunes. You are paying me for a service to customize YOUR pcm. I don't own your PCM so why should I have exclusive rights on it?
Grifter: You can give us a call. We use HPTuners have the Dynojet on-site and will get you in and out in a timely manner. For "bolt-on" cars we charge $250 and for engine modified cars we charge $525 the first time then $250 every tune thereafter no matter what mods you do after initial.

TTP and HPTuners is the best program i have ever used to tune.
you can be your own tuner with HPT too. there are a zillion help files, they have a file dump on their site to get you started, and they have a huge forum if you have any other questions. all you need is a cheap laptop and a very very basic understanding of what an engine needs to run.
