Default Nov. 24-25th Atco Results

Well, I headed down to Atco for my last race weekend of the season unless somehow I can make it back... (highly doubted).

Anyhow, I got a couple new best MPH runs and backed up my Personal Best as well. Between the two days of racing I got 11 passes in. A couple of them were throw away passes do to missed shifts or the clock/computer screwing up. Anyhow there are the times for Saturday, which included full interior, no skid plate and empty trunk:

1st pass
60-1.71
1/8-7.50
mph-94.79
1/4-11.54
mph- 124.75

2nd pass... this could have been my 10 sec pass had the starter not started the light while I was NOT staged, I had car in reverse to get the light back on.....
60-2.11
1/8-7.955
mph-97.36...New Personal Best
1/4-11.96
mph-125.19

3rd pass... backing up my 11.291 @ 124.40 from Oct.
60-1.64
1/8-7.311
mph-94.57
1/4-11.308
mph-125.33

4th pass
60-1.66
1/8-7.438
mph-92.86
1/4-11.48
mph-123.79

5th pass
60-1.77
1/8-7.513
mph-90.82
1/4-11.58
mph-123.43

6th pass.. throw away pass... missed third, shifter got stuck between 3rd and 5th gates....
60-1.65

7th pass
60-1.68
1/8-7.446
mph-92.83
1/4-11.58
mph-124.63

8th pass
60-1.70
1/8-7.472
mph-92.94
1/4-11.52
mph-124.20

And the passes from Sunday which included Full interior, no skid plate and no cat-back.. ran open mid pipes!

1st pass
60-1.739
1/8-7.525
mph-95.44
1/4-11.52
mph-126.16..... up goes the MPH...

2nd pass..... backing up my 11.291 @ 124.40 from Oct.
60-1.679
1/8-7.315
mph-96.09
1/4-11.293
mph-126.40..... New Personal Best MPH

3rd and final pass of the season..... thrown away by missing 4th with my best short time of the weekend
60-1.639

I also had the wheel spinning in the tire a good amount... Here's a pic on how much on my last pass Saturday:

Driver's side... Center of the green dot to the scratched line

Passenger side... Center of pinkish mark to the scratched line

Needless to say when my Pro Stars arrive on Friday with ET drags I will be adding screws....

It was great to meet you and that procharged beast of yours.

I wish I could have talked less to you and watch you run alot more....Atco made sure of the opposite.

Here's to crossing paths again at the next venue!

Thank you! It was nice to meet you as well. I got to see your first pass, or at least I think it was your first pass. Came off the line pretty easy then let it rip...

To meeting again and perhaps having a friendly race together

Ahh, so you got to see my inaugural pass with the traction control on and the resulting stall?

Yeah I did leave soft. My first pass ever....my car's first as well....I wanted to just stage properly and then get the feel of how she is for traction with a low 1500-1800 rpm launch (380 ft/lbs about there). You warned me awhile ago about hop and I never forgot it. Figured I'll race for time and speed once I figure out how not to break something.

Oh I'll totally line up with you. I'm in the process of getting a cam and other goodies as we type. I will say that she pulled like a jet right up until about 5 grand and then just fell flat. Nothing. I told Tommy and he is tearing out the valvetrain and lifting the redline. You'll still have have more up top....and you'll best me no doubt in the traps....but I'd love to see how the low end Maggie does up to the 1/8th vs the screaming procharger. Then you and I can put this whole Maggie/PC thing to rest for good with one slip.

Yup I got to see the stall with the T/C on... it happens to all of us at one point or another!

I agree.. lining them up would be fun. You'll need a tire though I'll tell you that now. Next season I will be mostly on ET Drags and will soon be retiring my ET Streets to a local GTO owner....

Practice, Practice, Practice!

Nice meeting you as well.

The race against the APS car was decent. He red lighted and I was sleeping at the light but I still reeled him in pretty good. That car certainly has a lot more in it!

I will be back at Atco sometime next season, just have to save up a bunch of loot for the trips back and forth! See you and Ken around then.
