Dakota
His name is Dakota and he is almost 16, back in October he started to have some back pain and then it turned into numbness in his legs. After going to the ER it was determined that he had a tumor on his spine and he needed surgery, that went well and the tumor was removed however there are a couple of spots that are cancerous so he is undergoing chemotherapy.
The overall prognosis is good and the remission rates are high so we are all encouraged.
I recently asked a former co-worker of my who left Timberland and is now at Reebok if he could get anything Patriot ralated for Dakota. He put out some feelers and one of the marketing guys called him and said he'd take care of him.
On Friday I got a call from my friend and he said he had some stuff for me so I went over to pick it up on Saturday and he opens the bag and starts puling out the following....
A pair of gloves that the receivers wear (not sold to the public)
Autographed picture of Adam Vinateri (from his Pats / Reebok days)
Limited edition Super Bowl 38 decorative football
Actual game ball from Super Bowl 39
Autographed Pats baseball hat signed by Ben Watson
And the Holly grail of gifts......
A personalized autographed jersey by Tom Brady.

This was signed by Tom on Thursday of last week

Dakota was stoked when I showed up with all this stuff, I'm working on getting it framed for him. If anyone has an "in" at a shop that does framing who would be willing to donate some time to frame it let me know.
Thanks to Andrew for hosting the pics.
You guys will be pleased to hear that we've picked up Dakota a 2000 Z/28 so you will be seeing us at the track next year.
Uncle Marc
I pray and hope that your "sidekick" Dakota makes a full recovery

Dakota's a good kid and he makes me proud!
Dakota had surgery on the Tuesday before the Miami game and he was heavily medicated and in alot of pain but he manged to stay awake for the first half and it was a blowout 42-7 or whatever it was at the half and I tell you that kick *** half of football made his day and made mine too.
Dakota is my X's boy, I was supposed to marry his mom and adopt him but things didn't work out with his mother so I never had the opportunity to adopt him but I've kept in touch and done things with him over the past dozen years.
Silver one - Love the Avatar
God asks Peyton Manning first: "What do you believe?" Peyton thinks long and hard, looks God in the eye, and says, "I believe in hard work, and in staying true to family and friends. I believe in giving. I was lucky, but I always tried to do right by my fans." God can't help but see the essential goodness of Manning, and offers him a seat to his left.
Then God turns to Tony Romo and says, "What do you believe?" Tony says,"I believe passion, discipline, courage and honor are the fundamentals of life. I, too, have been lucky, but win or lose, I've always tried to be a true sportsman, both on and off the playing fields." God is greatly moved by Tony's sincere eloquence, and he offers him a seat to his right.
Finally, God turns to Tom Brady: "And you, Tom, what do you believe?" Tom replies, "I believe you're in my seat.
