Default Question about title search.

I'm trying to sell my 68 firebird which I planned to restore but never had the time. I purchased it approx 9 years ago at which time I received the registration signing over ownership to me and a bill of sale that states that the owner sold a 68 firebird to me etc... The issue is that I can't find the registration so I'm not sure what to do at this point because that was the what was stating that I was the current owner. I'm still looking for it but am trying to get any info I can encase I can't find it. I assume I can't sell the car without a registration or title. Is there any form in the state of CT for this ? or do I need to find the info in order to register/sell it ?
Thanks
Ron H.

The thing I wonder is will it only show whomever was the last registered owner of the car as I never registered it ? Or will they just put my name on it ?

I don't know about CT but in GA you don't have to provide a title for a car over 14 years old....bill of sale will do.

But a call to DMV always a good idea.

I mean this in a comical way....but you could check this site.

IN NY you have 30 days to register a car, or at least title it thus paying taxes.. otherwise its a form of tax evasion which carries penalties if they wanna be tough about it... but, it all starts with a call to DMV.
