Stereotypical? no Mcnabb was a very good quarterback I agree to that however he can't stay healthy to play and when he does play he doesn't have the moblity that helped make him as good as he was. you watch any game going back even five year's ago and watch he last season you can see the diffence. it's time for him to retire it's that simple. I'm not tring to blame anything on him because he gave it his best shot but it wasn't meant to be I think it's time for a younger healthier qb to step up to the plate and give the eagles the kind of seasons they had just a couple year's ago. I'm not the fan looking to win a superbowl. it would be nice but I just like to see them have a good season and have some really good games.

The guy came back from an injury that has ended careers. Look at his last 2 or 3 games of the season, he was back to running and being mobile. Injuries like that take time to heal.

thats the most rediculous statement ive ever heard...."like to see them have a good season" ??? if they dont make it to the superbowl the season is a dissapointment. i dont care if they go 15-1....they dont win the big one, its a dissapointment.
last year he came back from an acl operation....thats a tough injury to come back from not to mention as early as he came back. lets see what happens this year.
the moves they (Eagles) are makin right now shows you they are going for the gusto this year...its not about the future. the future is now!!
if you think for one second they have a better chance to win with Kolb at QB than your nuts. this isnt a re-building stage for the birds...they are still a top team in the league and are getting better by the day with the new aquisitions.

Good luck he is a hell of a player. Hate to see him leave N.E. but they will get someone better if there is someone out there. You know them haha. They just keep signing better talent.

Agreed 100%...if you look at the last 2 or 3 games of the seasons mcnabb wsa starting to get his legs back and scramble a little more....of course it wasnt as much as when he first started but it was enough to evade a sack or two and hit a reciever....i think he will have a stand out season this year *knock wood*

dont you hate some eagles fans? i get so pissed at the moves and ploays they call sometimes but im a fan i wont ever turn my back if they lose, sign, cut, or trade an A+ player, just get a little frustrated.....

you can definetly tell this off season they are loading up on what could be one last push for the championship before the "tear down rebuild" stage....i absolutely love the moves they are makin, cut kearse, pick up samuel and clemons who will be a good rotation DE

As for all the sheppard comments, yes he is an excellent CB when hes healthy...i love him when he plays in the playoffs always good for a pick but this past 2 seasons he has been iffy so now they bring in samuel and try to work with sheppard if not i have no problems packin him up for fitzgerald and a draft

after what happened yesterday you can tell they are tryin very hard to get a #1 receiver in here. i wouldnt be suprised if a big name Receiver ends up in camp after a blockbuster trade....since the only Free agent receiver worth going for didnt want to come to the Eagles.

they wont make a play for Chad Johnson...they allready been down that road with T.O. Steve Smith is unhappy...that would be nice.....but unlikely. they are still targeting Jevon Walker but he had a knee injury so im a little skeptical about that.
