2008 Dragstrip predictions, lets here'em
Lets see who plans on running what times/mph at the track. If you like throw in what is going to better the time versus last year with your previous best. Just to pass some time till the weather comes our way.
Me
Prev- 11.02@126.65mph with 1.51 60ft
2008- 10.89@127.0xmph with 1.47 60ft-4.3x 330ft,6.9xx 1/8th at 99mph
Whats gonna help me hopefully.
New ET streets versus old worn out ones
Slightly changed tune bottom only the low end but hey who knows
I'll be able to hotlap due to roll bar, firejacket and harness
2005 C6 trans to be put in soon will help with shifting-same gear ratios though
New plug wires LOL! Shut up it could help...
Raising the car up for better weight transfer hopefully

11.30's or bust this year i think...adding a fast 90/90 from tony mamo, and some suspension work. Maybe a set of heads (TFS/ETP/AFR) if i can afford them. My goal is really just to get kicked off the track...might be a bit hard at atco..lol

I'd like to run 10s this year
Seriously...low 5s @ 145ish in the 1/8 would be nice... Ive geared the car for predominantly 1/8 mile racing since that is what the DR class is going to be at cecil
Though the car needs to get finished first

12.4 @112 w/ a 1.78 60' was my best before the tune and new GTO tranny with better gear ratios. After that swap and tune, I got two runs in December when it was too cold for traction. ETs sucked but I trapped 116 only trapping 86 in the 1/8.
I'm replacing my clutch this week (to help with my shifting issues) and upgrading the Nittos to the slick version of the ET streets, so if the shifting issue gets sorted out, I want to see consistent 11.9s or better with 1.6 60's and I'd like to trap a 118 on a good day.
This is all pretty realistic if the new clutch works out and the tires hold up well. My "hope" is to see an 11.7.

With the new car I will only take it once or twice, but will be happy with 10.5@140. Anything better than that will be a nicety. I just wanted a true 10 second street car.

i never got to run the car last year, but last time i ran it i had the ls6 and 150 a shot and it ran 11.2 @ 133 stock tires and a 2.0 60ft.....now i have a 408 with et streets so i think it will go 10.5 @ 130 N/A and on a 300 shot i think it will go 9.XX @ 145-150?
