I can see it now....
2010 Camaro SS
Daytona Yellow/Black Stripes
There is a chance that a base model 6 speed manual LS3 V8 Camaro could come in under $30k...I don't exactly consider that to be way too expensive for a turn key 12 second car that also gets 25mpg+ in this day and age.

Of course it not technically an F-body anymore, it is built on the Zeta chassis I believe. So it is now technically the Z-body.
If they really do come in under $30k, they should do well enough to stick around.
As far as being competitive with the Mustang pricing, I don't see that being an issue. Ford has managed to establish a cult following for the Mustang despite its mediocre performance for years. Yes the '03/'04 Cobras are great and the newer GT500s run hard but the rest of the regular GTs are weak yet they sell.
For whatever reason even if the GT was $35k and had 300 horsepower and the Z28 was $25k and had 500 horsepower a ton of people would still opt for the GT. I don't get it, but thats the way it is.
I believe the Camaro will come in with a curb weigh of just over 3800 lbs.
