Finally Got My Trans
Finally Got My Trans After a month of going back and fourth with DHL they found my trans, it went from houston to ohio, then to canada and finally back to me. The box was all kinds of f#cked up for saying fragile it looked like it went through world warIII!!! the trans was strapped to a piece of 1/4 inch ply wood that lined the bottom of the box and the board was broken into several pcs and there was a huge hole in the top of the box, I checked out the case of the trans to make sure that wasnt damaged before I signed for it, I got the trans inside and out of the box and the input shaft looks bent, can someone tell me the correct way to check the input shaft to see if it is bent??
Should be fairly obvious turn it if it wobbles its bent though its would take one hell of and impact

Any way you can put a square on a flat surface of the case, and turn the shaft? If possible, set a square piece of stock across the tranny, bolt it on like the bellhousing if possible, and just put a dial indicator on the shaft and turn it, that will tell you. if you can do that, so that there is something that's clamped/bolted down so that there's a pointer, or edge close to the end of the shaft, and you turn it and can physcially see the end of the shaft getting close and further away then it's really bent.
