Virginia emissions testing

I may be moving to Virginia (Norfolk specifically) later this year and I wondered what the emissions laws and testing were in the area. My car is modded, and I am wanting to know if I will have to un-mod it if I move out there.

pretty laid back here, theres a ton of really fast modded cars running around hampton roads area. so no worries!

No emissions testing in Norfolk. You do have to have cats to pass the safety inspection.
The only areas with emissions inspection are Richmond and NoVa, around the DC area.

i lived near quantico and their emissions testing was a joke.
