your bailout dollars at work
And I personally believe that its the Americans that caused this and at fault. THEY took out loans they cant afford. Its the point of having a business to try and sell and make a profit. Its up to the buyer to be responsible enough to know what they can or cannot afford, not take the word of the seller.
Problem is that the banks AREN'T taking that money and lending it out (mostly due to the stipulations involved if they do borrow it.....such as limited/no benefits for CEO's etc). The government is now threatning and starting to lend the money out themselves.....which is scary in a capitalist view.
The American is partly at fault. The other people at fault are those in government who were FORCING banks and other lenders to lend out to people who would be unqualified by their standards (ACORN comes to mind, and in turn who has worked for and given money to ACORN?.....the savior Barrack Obama). We have to understand that it is not a right in this country to own a house. It's only a right to have the opportunity to do well for yourself by legal means (pursuit of happiness anyone?). But when we want to tax people a ton more for making more money (remember the super rich that don't work, really don't pay income taxes anyways, so those ACTUALLY working are left to pay) that is punishing someone for making more money, even if Obama thinks it's just to give others the "opportunity". Don't get me started on taxes to businesses either. Please, for the love of God, don't believe a business pays ANY tax. Just deny the fact that it is trickled down to the consumer with higher prices. Alright, now I'm rambling, I'm done.
