Gears are going in..Question?
Ok the Gears are going in today.. What kind of "Break-in" Do i need to do on these.. There Motive 3.73's and a master install kit is being used.

Yea, the best thing to do is to drive them slow for a while. No hard turns either. For lubrication purposes, I use Royal Purple Max Gear 75W-90. It's great stuff. Are you using a rear girdle as well?

The guy above you pretty much explained it.
Suppose it's a new motor needs to be heat-cycled for several hours instead...
You wouldn't leave the engine on for the hours "straight." You would allow the motor to heat up and then cool back completely down in "cycles," on and off, rechecking and retightening bolts.
Sorry if my explanation sucks, it's the only way I can think of it right now.

i ran my ran my car on a lift for about 5mins, let it cool down. then drove to merrit island at like 60+ mph. let it cool down there. then on the way home i gave it a beating. its been great ever since.

Update!
Ok i went to Pic up the Car Last night and my friends dad said i wasnt going to like him.. i was like ok.. Anyways he said he had the gears in 3 diffrent times and they were "Howling Like a Wildcat" He's a Country Boy... And He was going to try agian tomorrow with shimming it but said it may be a bad cut.... Anyone ever heard of Gears not being cut right from the factory... These are Motive... I really dont want to have to send them back to wait for new ones.. this sux!

This is in a 10 bolt I'm assuming? 4.10's really howl, I've been driving on 4.10s for almost two years now and have just accepted it. Anytime its checked out they are still setup correctly, hell my 4.10's were mikronited which was supposedly going to cut down on the noise, then again I'm running a gearset from Richmond, supposedly they are the loudest.

yea its a stock 10 bolt.. i didnt get to hear them but he said it was loud and he's the master Tech so im assuming it was pretty bad... Hopefully he gets it figured out today....
