We use aftermarket cases in everything. Phoey on me for not ever really taking a hard look at the whole thing. I know I paid for Moser 3rd member. The driveshaft was cut at a local place as well by the way.
All in all I am very grateful this ended up like it did- on the launch. Things could have been a lot different on the big end of things....
A Moser nodular cast iron 3rd memeber case and upgraded pinion support and setup kit should be at the shop on Tuesday. The PST driveshaft is already here.
I think the car has a lot more left in it as far as MPH and 60 fts. Taking care of our customer's first while making slow but, sure progress on this car has been and I am sure will always be.
Thanks Eric and Brian for stopping by and checking out the thread.
And special thanks to Bob@EPP for all the advice and the driveshaft.

If you can swing the coin, the aluminum center sections are nice weight savings.
People, understand something. A 9" isn't the problem and too much power isn't what killed it. Folks have gone faster on weaker rears.
I don't think Doc is trying to get folks thinking any of these things or looking for suggestions on what different type of rear to use.
The upgrade from a 9" is a better 9"
I hope that helps.
