Differential help ASAP Please!

Differential help ASAP Please! Well, I found this when I pulled my diff cover off today, and all the bolts were loose as well. Granted the system has close to 100K on it, but still very strange.
Furthermore, as I am driving, there is a loud shuddering from the rear end whenever I am slowing down.
What parts do I need to order besides a new ring gear, and what is the name of the part with the bolts in it?

If you are wanting a full rebuild you will need a master install kit(comes with carrier bearings, pinion bearings, pinion shims,carrier shims, crush sleeve, pinion nut, pinion seal, lock tight and gear paint to check pattern) and the ring and pinion gear set. The ring gear bolts to what is called a carrier or differential unit. People call them a lot of different things.
If you didn't know this already it is highly reccomended that the parts are installed by a professional or someone of equivelent knowledge. If not it will cost even more in the long run when the gear set whines loudly or you have premature part failure.

That is a ring gear bolt. i just pulled my 10 bolt so I have them laying around.
Where are you at? If you are close just come pick it up if you think you need it.
Also someone correct me if I am wrong, but it looks like some one has been in
there before. Your main caps look to be studded, I thought those were bolts.

Someone was in there before. The car has a Zexel Torsen diff with Motive 3.73 gears in it. I appreciate the help theguy, but the bolt has completely broken off inside the threads. These gears have always whined, but the shuddering is recent.
