I have been using Formato for many, many years, and he always gets it right the first time around, for me drive ability is a major factor, i know i have a big cam but i also hate surging at full stops and while cruising bellow two grand he always takes care of that, it starts great in the mornings, and idles like stock, except for the lope, chop, chop, from the cam, but that's to be expected....and just as good when it's hot. i don't let the tuners tune my car like they want, i tell them what i want the car to do, IE, shift points, converter lock up, AFR vs Ignition advance at WOT, no Knock. etc,etc,...but thanks for the heads up, maybe next time I'll shoot up to Boca and give Dan a try...maybe have him go over the tune i have now to see if it's were it's suppose to be at, who knows maybe he can squeeze a few more pony's out of my Bitch....lol

More or less what does he charge for let's say a touch up?

That's probably a better question for him, Give him a call (561) 338-9321. If he has a car on the dyno He usually can't get to the phone, so if you get an answering machine leave a message. He calls back pretty fast.

Dans book is the best I have ever read and I would rank him one of the best in the country, not just the state. EFI Alchemy is right up there, Mike Norris, RevXtreme, and that about sums it up. All claim to be the best, and some have some major ball-swingers that think they are "God"....but even some of the best known I wouldn't trust out of this list. Oh, Bob at PM is very good as well.

I realize this thread is very old, but I'm looking for the best tune I can find. Just wondering if Dan is still tuning. I emailed them a couple months back, but no response. Hopefully they were busy.

I heard it quit the industry a few years ago.

Jeremy Formato in Tampa is good. He comes over to this coast periodically to do tuning. https://www.fasterproms.net/
