Default Storing my Car

well my fiance and I have decided instead of selling my SS to just park it and store till after we get married and by a house. hopefully by the end of next year ill be able to bring it back on the road.

So what all should I do before storing the car?
It will be kept under a carport at least and hopefully be put inside my dads shop in a month or two and then our garage once we buy a house next summer.

I was thinking
give it one more good car wash maybe wax if i have time
change the oil
should I fill the car up with gas and add some stabil
maybe get a battery tender but my battery is already 5 years old and seems like its on its way out.
front tires are brand new and the rears are almost bald.

So whats everyone suggestions for parking a car here in Florida.

Put the car on stands makes sure the that the suspension in compressed like it is on the road. Battery tender plus with 2 volt trickle charge, there is a batter protection on them too so it won't over charge the battery. But you can take the battery out instead of wasting the money. Fill the tank up to prevent moisture build up in the tank.

I like the fine print Trevor. when i hear some one is storing the car or being shipped over seas i always say ill take care of the car lol

Thanks Sean and Ryan i think ill worry about getting a battery tender later on when i have a little extra money since it will never be a daily driver anyways it would be good to have could use it on my dads truck to. anyone think i should add any treatment to the fuel? and I will be able to start it every week or so and possibly move it around between the shop and house garage.

Umm Stabil is a must, but with that ethonal shi! in there is has a lot less shelf life that just 100% gas like back a few years. I would probally add more stabil that what it calls for. Oil should be good depending on what you use. Still change it after the 3 month or 6 months if syn.

yeah its a 10x40 storage area attached to our 20x40 shop if the wood was not there though there would be plenty of room.
