PBIR Event this friday...
I have noticed that organization at the track is going horribly wrong. For example on TNT nights at the end of the night, there probably 10 - 20 cars in the slick/dr lanes, but 30 -40 in the bs street tire lanes. More than once I have watched the track run the 30 -40 cars in street tire lane out first and make the slick tire cars wait.
I imagine there is a reason for this, but most often the slick tire cars are pitted and have to pack up and go. So why not let these cars run first so they can pack up while the street tire cars are running? Just makes good sense to me.
Also, I know why it takes forever to stage cars there. There is only one turn off at the end! This is the only drag strip I have ever been to where there is only one turn off! My car goes 130 and I could make an earlier turn off, and Im sure many of the street tire cars could take an earlier turn off. This could speed things up a bit.

that event was horrible. They talked it up as being sick....having some of the sickest fastest cars around.....yet all i saw was pieces of crap roll down the track. (and alot of the sicker cars blew up at the line)
kinda like the dominos pizza commercials....they talk it up to be sooo good....and that **** sucks.
I hope they do a better job in the future (Bizspeed)....the bikini contest was the most unorganized LAME contest I have ever witnessed.

Rapidrick- It was nice meeting you too. Yup, still the shitty old 7.5 rear. Thats why I trailered it, I live just outside of fort myers and didnt want to get stuck on the wrong side of the state. 
To this day I have yet to see a sub 2.0 60'. The one time I gave it hell off the line, I snapped an axle, so im trying to keep it together for now. My mph is usually even a little better than that, the bottles were running a little low and is why I didnt bother trying to run the actual event.

Overall I have to say I had fun. I thought there was a fair mix of different stuff out there, that gt500 and 240sx were no joke. I wish I was a little closer to WPB. My closest 1/4 is bradenton and ive mostly done the runday sundays, so this was a nice change for me. Ill have to talk the wife into making some more road trips over there in the future.

thanks. thats quite a good size crew, we actually came over a little earlier to check in to our hotel (didnt want to make the drive back at 1am) I was thinking of heading back over for the hooters meet in Boca September 8th? They say the second sunday so thats what Ill shoot for. I wont be able to make the august one because the wife has to work, but that sounds like fun and would be a decent cruise.
