Gainesville Scene How is it? im moving there in the spring to start school and was wondering how the car scene was there. Any thoughts?

In all honesty, not too much to speak of unless you count the college girls in V6 Mustangs.
A lot of rice though. IMV or whatever films has weekly meets down here. However there are a few nice F-bodies and Stangs around campus and town. Gainesville raceway holds weekly Wednesday Test and Tunes during drag racing season. Probably your best bet.

That imv group has done a good job as of late in separating themselves from the over abundance of rice. Most of them are good guys, and it will take a few meets before they will warm up to ya. But besides that, there really is nothing besides the track.

Jax has a better turn out but it's a drive.

I live in Keystone Heights, I work at Autozone on Univeristy blvd in Gainesville and drive to Jax for car meets and cruises.

meh. it sucks but yea, like nhraracer said there is test n tune at the track on wed nights. thats kinda fun. there is always somebody out there from here ..............including me

Yeah. Green cove springs/Fleming Island, Ocala, and Jacksonville have great car scenes. I know from experience. If you're looking for a lot of F-bodies/Mustangs, I would look that direction.
