need help aligning new hood
need help aligning new hood ok so i bought an oem ss hood and took it to get painted. i go and pick it up today and its not on right. the owner says to me it will never fit the car right. so i got pissed and get gave me my money back. also their were paint chips on the edges with the red showing through (original color) that he knew were there from him trying to get it to fit and he didnt fix it. he told me to never come back and refunded. i get home and notice that there is lots of dirt under the paint. im so pissed but it was free so....... but now i need help aligning it. i took it to another place to get a quote on fixing it and itll prolly be around 100-200 but i know it can be done i mean it is OEM!!!! the painter was an *** and he was the owner. so if anyone can help me out on fixing it like advice and what not..... here are pix

also there is no damage to my frame or anything and my stock hood fit like a glove.

That can all be adjusted out. I've traded hoods with a guy before and they both fit perfect on the original cars, but when swapped out needed adjustment, moving the fenders, etc. In fact I'm on my fourth hood, finally an oem SS hood.
It looks like you need to push it back, adjust the hinges down, raise the pass side rubber bumpers, lower the drivers side bumpers, lower the latching mechanism on the rad core support. Loosen the one bolt that holds the headlight assemblies in and move them inward so you can also move the fenders inward.
I'm surprised the guy gave you all your money back and let you keep the hood?
I'd suspect it was a repaired original if it's that bad. How do you know it's OEM?

i bought the hood of an old man in the area. it was his sons that never put it on. i know its oem because it had the part number under the hood and also it was never damaged it had the stock red paint on it before i painted. he gave me the money back because everytime i go to him he messes up my car. i always give me second and third chaces because he fixes them for free. but not this time, he said that its the best he can do. i mean come on!!! he was so pissed that i said maaco could do better lol. i mean dirt under the paint, thats bs i dont even know if he has a booth at this point. but in the last pic u can tell it has a nice finish. he did a 2 stage base and clear not the single stage maaco crap. so i walked away with a free paint job. just need to align it, i guess he didnt know **** about aligning hoods because he said i can take it anywhere and no one can fix it.
