I sold my '94 Z28 back in 2008, and drive a 2005 WRX tuned on e85, but I still keep in touch with the Lightning Fellas around town when I can. The car meets aren't anywhere what they used to be. However, the only "automotive" meet I know of in town is still at the Ale House on Archer Road on Thursday nights. It is a small core group of elitists and a large flock of idiots, but it is something automotive during the week.
Good hearing from ya! Appreciate the props; guess racing is foremost in my brain...Hit me up next time you're in town.

Just saw this thread. I would be up for meeting up sometime for some runs at the Strip. I don't go to the Ale house on thursdays, it's mostly imports/idiots. I also have a 98 Z28 with a 383 stroker but the Transmission is out. I will definitely hit be hitting the track when I get the transmission back from Tick. It would be cool to have a Gainesville/Ocala group. Closest meet I have been to is jacksonville.

i'd be down for any meet. i havent raced yet at the gville track. i have some MT slicks. have to mount them. lately the track has been dead. this wednesday that just passed was decent though. i remember the end of last year was so packed every time.

Yep, the Gainesville track has been slow lately on Wednesdays I've heard, but not many are dying to know what their ride runs in the 2500-3400 DA summer heat. But when it cools off a little in a few months, different story!!

Looking like the weather may stay dry up there in Gainesville. I'll be there as long as there's no rain.
On another note, would you guys be interested in coming to Ocala for a bi monthly/monthly meet? I got a shop me and my friends use that has PLENTY of parking space and located right on highway 200. We've tried to just get an Ocala meet going but didn't have many show up the two weeks we tried starting it up again. Low turn out and me getting into working on the Camaro again shut down the meets.
