Suggestion for setup What I currently have

JBA headers, jba mids,spintech mufflers and 100 shot of nitros.
What I want
========
I want to get cam and maybe get heads. A setup where I can have some fun when I dont have my bottle with me but that wont be too much where I start having to deal with engine issues all the time. I daily drive the GTO and I cant really afford being down.
Question

What should I get as far as cam (very mild) and heads?
What else should I consider changing while I doing the heads and such? (2 birds with 1 stone deal)
What else do you guys recommend?
