Possibly moving to Daytona area
Possibly moving to Daytona area I may be moving to the Daytona area and wanted some input and info about the area. Good areas bad areas , etc . Should I go north to palm coast or south of it?

Every town, as you know will have an "area" to stay away from. Daytona, Holly Hill always seem to make the news. Ormond is good, along with Port Orange. Palm Coast I never really cared for but, can't say it's bad. You're adding to your commute going there. You can live rurally and be in the city relatively quick or there is quite a few neighborhoods that are pretty low key as well. Ask anybody in Port Orange(where I'm at) about the Police. They don't play.
If you want the small town feel with a 25 min drive to both Daytona and New Smyrna Beach, check out Deland/Lake Helen. I work in Daytona but would never in a million years live here. Commute during the work week takes about 40 min with traffic to go from Deland to the intercoastal.
