Default Speed Trap

Watch out on Lake Mary Blvd as of lately they have been holding radar after 1am.......3 cruisers park in 1/2 mile increments.......if you see the first one DON'T SPEED UP as there's a second AND a third!! Feel free to post any speed traps you encounter.

I 10 heading up to FSU is a doozy.

But no worries anymore, my best friend Valentine One has not let me down since I bought it ten months ago. I recommend it to any car enthusiast who enjoys spirited driving.

I-75 between Gainesville and Ocala has a few spots that are frequent locations for cops to sit and take pictures. Of course nothing is worse than Waldo's 35 mph speed trap.

The entire town.

Speeding anywhere on 301 from I-10 to south of Gainesville is a death wish...Lawtey, Starke, Waldo are ALL speedtraps. I think Waldo and Starke were listed w/ AAA as "speed trap cities" or something like that a couple of years ago.

yep, pretty much. There are a few areas where the speed drops down to 35-30 mph and those are the areas to watch out for (as in don't go 1 mile over the limit unless you want a ticket). Still amazing the # of morons that go speeding through there considering there are billboards warning you about where the traps are!

Waldo and Lawtey are really bad. I go through there several times a week and 9 times out of 10 the have someone pulled over. They usually pull people over from out of state. I always haul *** up to the speed limit just to **** them off because there such jerks. Unless you want a ticket don't speed through waldo where you see the light orange markers on the speed limit signs.

Lawtey and Waldo are the worst. Police in Lawtey are notorious for pulling people over who weren't even speeding.

A couple of months ago a man from south Florida wrote the editor of the local paper to complain. He was stopped in Lawtey for speeding through their school zone, even though it wasn't during school hours, nor was the light flashing. He later came back to contest the ticket. Of course, the judge sided with the police. He began to converse with the other people who were in to see the judge that day (about 20), and it turned out that they had been ticketed for the same thing. All 20 had to pay up...

Starke will be as bad as Waldo and Lawtey before too long. The new Chief of Police in Starke told a reporter that he had no problem being compared to the Lawtey P.D.

yep, the police quoted in Waldo are pretty much the same. They don't care about giving out tickets. AAA once listed Waldo as the worst speed trap in the US, and they got really offended and had a few quotes in the local paper about it being a bunch of BS. Yeah, I think not, considering there are billboards warning people about the traps.

The whole city of College Station is a speed trap. We have CSPD, troopers, Brazos county pd, Bryan pd, constables, and texas a&m pd all patrolling the same area. You can't drive anywhere without seeing at least four cop cars; two of them are usually writing tickets. 95% of the people here drive UNDER the speed limit 'cause it's that bad.

PS. just remebered this tidbit: College station has the most cops per capita of anywhere in the nation, but then again, we also sell the most kegs per capita .
