Ok so i left miami this weekend with full intent of getting the beast tuned by jeremy formato in tampa at rev xtreme. After my long tube header install i felt the car actually was running worse but thought it was because of the car only being partially tuned and having put new performance parts on, and the car had started throwing a blinking engine light warning at me which jeremy told me was only a miss fire because of the cam. So went to rev xtreme this morning didnt get on the dyno till around 3 pm, first pull 299, 2nd pull after some adjustments 340, but a the while jeremy felt like the car was running like crap, after the 2nd pull he told me he thought the engine was missing a cylinder, so we popped the hood and sure enough plug wire on cylinder four was not connected. For a friggin week i have been riding around with out the f'n plug wire installed. So we plug it back in the car still runs like crap but a hp better. So we change plugs no difference. So they start going thru the motor hoping that nothing major is wrong with the motor so after about a half hour we find that the coil for cylinder 4 was shot, and where the F#$K am i going to get a LS2 coil at 4pm on a saturday. So we did an oil change unplugged the injector to number 4 and i limped it back to ocala on 7 cylinders oh and the whole dyno run was on 7 cylinders. So now im having to wait and hope that the pontiac dealer in ocala has an ls2 coil, if not i have to drive back to rev xtreme because they promised to have one for me no matter what. And i give shouts to Bob at precision porting for the helped he lended in calling and searching for a coil for me and the offer for a trailer and truck if i broke down, great guy. So this thing should be 100% by monday, but now i am wearing that something internally may be scared but maybe not. Now i have to make another trip to just get finished tuning dammit. Last thing i will say then i am done DONT ever take your car to Horse power sales in ft. lauderdale off copans road, one stupid *** mistake is costing me money and a day of work. So what ever you do dont go there, and it is funny saying that because a guy Will from ft. lauderdale with a silver 05 gto had his short throw shifter installed there and complained that there mechanic rushes thru jobs and missed something small on the shifter install and it leaked, Go F#$king figure. Im out.

 

Its too bad when stuff like this happens but when you have a hotrod and put performance parts on it and beat on the car alot sometimes **** happens. At least you didn`t blow the motor.

 

Hope you didn't wash that cylinder down with fuel. Change the oil again after it is sorted out.

 

bummer about the bad coil, but sometimes you have to suffer through some headaches to get the results you are looking for. Good luck get back on all 8 cylinders soon!
